Salmon pate

Serves 4
150g hot oak smoked salmon, the trimmings from a whole side are perfect
200g soft cheese
oatcakes or sourdough toast to serve
You’re curious about why this recipe only has two ingredients, right? Well, I’ve tried adding something else, but I always end up with the same opinion: it doesn’t need anything else. The secret ingredient is my hot oak smoked Scottish salmon. All the flavour comes from that.
Mix well the hot oak smoked salmon with the cream cheese. Use a wooden spoon to break the salmon into small pieces. Don’t smash the salmon pieces too much, little pieces of salmon look and taste wonderful in the mixture.
Serve with warm slices of sourdough bread or just oatcakes. Enjoy!
